Atlantic Coverage Corp. recognizes the importance of safeguarding the personal nonpublic financial information of our Customers.  This Notice explains our policy regarding any nonpublic personal information you may provide to us and how we may use that information to provide you with fidelity/surety products and services.  We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal nonpublic information and to providing our Customers with the best possible service.   This Notice describes the privacy policy of Atlantic Coverage Corp. and the other members of our corporate family, called affiliates, which are identified in this Notice, collectively as “we”, “our”, or “us”, as they apply to each natural person (called “you,” “your,” “Customer”) who has procured a Fidelity or Surety bond or other services from us.

1.      Information We Collect.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as name, address, social security number, employment status, marital status, assets, liabilities and income;

Information about your business with us, such as your account balances, payment history, parties to the business transaction;

Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit score and credit history;

Information from others about you regarding their relationships with you such as an employer, banker, job owners, subcontractors or creditors we contact to verify representations made by you in applications or on financial statements for the purpose of determining your eligibility for surety credit.

2.      How We Use Information We Collect

All the information we collect may be disclosed to companies for business purposes with respect to our insurance/surety relationship with an insurer.  These business purposes include evaluating a request for a Fidelity or Surety bond, evaluating or adjusting a claim or processing transactions requested by you.  We may also use such information to offer you other products or services we provide.

3.      Information We May Disclose To Third Parties

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal financial information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We may disclose any nonpublic personal financial information when we believe it necessary for the conduct of our business, or where disclosure is required by law. 

4.      Visiting Our Website

We do not collect personal information about you just because you visited our website.  Something called a “cookie” allows us to know that someone has visited our website and what portions of it were viewed.  A cookie will not identify the visitor and is not used to collect personal information

5.      Our Practices Regarding Information Confidentiality and Security

We restrict access to nonpublic personal financial information about our customers to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products and services to that customer.

Employees are required to comply with our established policies

6.      Other Factors Affecting Your Privacy

Some of the personal information which we have about you in our records may also be know to others or may even be a matter of public record, available to all.  Although we will only share nonpublic personal information about you on the limited basis described above, we cannot protect you from the actions others may take when that information is also made available to them.

7.      Amendments

This notice disclosed our privacy policy as of the date shown on this Notice.  We reserve the right to amend our policy from time to time, and will notify you of any significant changes.
